Looking for Dermatend steps and instructions?

Detailed DermaTend Instructions
First Day/Day One
  • Rub the blemish gently with an emery board to remove the top layer of dead skin.
  • To open up the pores and allow dermatend to penetrate, hold a hot washcloth to the area for 30 seconds or so.
  • Dry off the area throughly.
  • Gently massage your tube of dermatend
  • If you have vaseline at home, apply this to the surrounding skin to protect it. (dermatend can stain clothing so be careful to not spill on yourself)
  • With your clean finger, apply a small amount of dermatend to the blemish avoiding the surrounding skin.
  • Cover with a fiber/fabric band aid and wait 24 hours.
  • Wash your hands :)

The next day/ Day Two

  • Peel off band aid carefully.
  • With clean washcloth, gently clean the remaining dermatend from the blemish.
  • Dab dry with a towel.
  • At this point you will be able to see if the area has scabbed or not.

If it has, that's it! you're done! You can now use a natural antibiotic healing ointment on it to help speed the time it takes for the scab to fall off. Keep covered with a band aid to prevent the scan from coming off too early! and by all means...don't pick at it!

(Youshould apply the healing ointment daily to speed the process as much as possible.)

If it hasn't scabbed:

Repeat the steps of day one until a scab forms!

Easy!

What if i can't tell if it's a scab or not?

Most likely, if it has scabbed, you will know. It is harder to the touch and will look slightly different. Sometimes even larger as the root of the blemish may be larger than what you see above the skin.

I was actually in this position when I removed a skin tag using Dermatend.

So what did I do?

Since I was unsure, I didn't scratch the area again. Instead, I just applied dermatend to the skintag one more time and let it sit another 24 hours.

The following (3rd ) day, I KNEW it was scab. no doubt in my mind.

That's all folks!

Very easy to do at home.

Check out my website that I created to document my mole removal with dermatend!
